About
A native Coloradan, then a transplanted Texas girl, I am now a Hoosier who works full time in Michigan. (Driving on ice is definitely worse than driving through Houston rush hour traffic. The key to both: drive very slowly and don’t let anyone run you off the road.)
My Work
I work for Revive Our Hearts, a ministry calling women to freedom, fullness, and fruitfulness in Christ. This is the most incredible job I’ve ever had; it is thrilling to be a part of this ministry and see God do miracles every day. My coworkers are amazing people, and the work I do makes me want to get up every morning.
My job is in the publications arena: administration, graphic design, and editing. Did I mention that I love my job?
My Passion
My passion in life is seeing women thriving in the love of Christ and delighting in their service to Him. I love Revive Our Hearts for just that reason. Other related burdens on my heart are the orphan crises in America and around the world, women in prison, the rights of the unborn children, and the exploitation of women and girls worldwide.
My Family
My family is my joy and support. I am the oldest of the six children of David and Beverly Shaffer. Kristin (25) is a full-time music teacher and is working on finishing her degree. Daniel (23) is studying accounting at the University of Houston. Deborah (15) is a high school sophomore who loves to study and write. Matthew (13) is in eighth grade and is on a home-school basketball team. Kathryn (11) is in fifth grade and loves to talk and shop! My mom home-schools the younger children. My dad works for Conoco-Phillips.
